Surprise, Surprise!

Randy and I were here in the office catching up with today's news before going to bed tonight when we heard the door to Abby's room "bouncing" a little bit. We never latch it completely when we put her in bed. We just leave it open a crack.

Our first thought was that maybe Snickers was in there and wanted out, since that's the sound he makes when he paws at the door trying to open it. I went to open it for him, and instead of Snickers, I found a very LARGE "cat". It was Abby! She had climbed out of her crib all by herself! That's the first time that's happened, but we know it won't be the last. We didn't even hear her climb out, and obviously she didn't fall and crash because we had no clue it was going on. She had also "dressed herself" by pulling her dirty onesie over her head before pulling on the door. Silly girl!

A new phase of parenting has begun...

A Silly Girl

Today Abby wanted to use the small vacuum to sweep the crumbs up that she spilled. She decided to put the hat on that Aunt Linnie made for her and wear it while she vacuumed. Here are three pictures of this episode in rapid succession. They were all too good to pass up.

Mother's Day and Funny Time With Dad

Mother's Day was Sunday and Mom was honored (we hope) as Abby and I made a home made card, cleaned up a lot of things around the house and then did yard work on Saturday (See blog post below). I love you! You are an awesome mom!!!



On Tuesday I came home from work and got Abby up from a nap. She was silly and decided to play with my hat and her own hat. Here are pictures that we took of ourselves.

It's A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood...

It's a gorgeous day here today (70 deg, sunny, with a nice breeze) and we've gotten a whole bunch of things done today! Mowed the lawn, weed-eated, sprayed weed-B-gone on the whole lawn, sprayed round-up, pressure washed, washed the van, made a run to the dump, defrosted the upright freezer, washed 3 loads of laundry and hung them out on the clothes line (I'm waiting for Randy to take his dirty pants off so I can wash the 4th load)... Randy's done most of it with me and Abby watching and helping where we can. Now I'm getting some computer work done while Abby is taking her nap.

Here are just some random pictures I took today. Abby cheerfully posed in several of them for me, and played peek-a-boo as I requested so I could get some cute pictures of her peeking out.

Big Helper

Today Abby and I setup the deck swing and fountain. Abby loved the fountain. It gave me a break from studying and reading while Abby was awake.
